A month of My Life (February 2022)

Image
Hello there! I hope this blog entry finds you well wherever you are. This February was turbulent and horrifying - personally and on a global scale.  Personal/ Private I love being a teacher, but the past weeks were especially hard. So many things had a deadline, the students were getting on each other's nerves and tests wanted to be revised on top of creating good lessons. I am glad that we are on holiday right now and I wish I had yet another week, because I have so many projects I want to finish without rush! Packing microscale-experiment-cases for the student's laboratory! Finally our boxes are in order! I still want to add some, though!  Pretty, isn't it? It's a red cabbage indicator from pH 1 to pH 12! Displaying my student's models and posters! These DNA-models turned out pretty well! I love how creative everyone got. On the other hand: My mother fell terribly ill and she can't either breathe or swallow. She already lost 10 kilograms (20 pounds) in one mo...

Hello 2022!: Resolutions and ambitions

Image
Hello there 2022! It's been a long time since I've last posted here and I thought it would be a shame to put this entire blog to rest. For now I try to update whenever I want without any pressure at all! :) I think this solution suits me best. Now on to my resolutions and ambitions for 2022! Journaling I really love my current journaling system: A hobonichi Techo for my daily adventures and a hobonichi weeks for work. This is something I can handle perfectly well and I love to flip through old entries! I also want to publish some youtube videos from time to time!  Drawing Besides my Etsy drawings, I totally want to draw more ACEOs again! I haven't forgotten about the ACEO swaps and I hope that I will juggle work and leisure time better, soon. Since playing Pokemon Legends Arceus I am eager to draw some Pokemon again!  Private We are getting married this year and besides work (sensei & Etsy) it takes a toll on me to organize everything. But we have a location, we mad...

Tales of Arise review

Tales of Arise is the 17th mothership title of the Tales of franchise and got released worldwide on September 10, 2021. As a long fan of the Tales of series I was eager to play it. Here is my opinion about the adventure of Alphen and his comrades! Warning: The review is spoiler-"free", that means that you have to mark the black parts in order to read the spoilers. Graphics Bandai Namco used the same engine for their graphics a very long time, so that the graphics of older Tales of titles was often mocked and looked down upon. Especially Tales of Zestiria suffered in this regard. Now Bandai Namco used the unreal engine and Tales of Arise couldn't look any better than that! Everything is sparkling, great looking and simply WOW! Every fellow Tales of fan can nod in unisuno: Yes, that is what we were hoping for! Skits The popular skits, aka conversations between the characters, have gotten a brand-new look, too. They are something between a real scene and a comic strip and l...

A Week in My Life (July)

Image
Welcome back to another entry of "A week in my life"! This one is really personal indeed... Life happens when you are making plans... The redcurrants are ripe and I sorted them while playing pen-and-paper! Besides salad and some redcurrant cheesecake, I also made some muffins! They were delicious! *Q* Here's the recipe (sorry, German only): Link I am so happy that I found some Edamame at our supermarket! This is our favorite snack by now! =v=)d I finally found the time to draw again! I made the sketch for a Gaming package, but I endet liking it too much and kept it! XD Blue really is my favorite colour...! At monday, I got the message that my grandmother (90 years old) had another stroke and that she isn't able to talk at all... I was so worried, that I got myself the permission to miss two days in school in order to visit her. My grandmother's city is 543 kilometers away and it took me 7 hours to get to her. She was so surprised and happy to see me, that we both...
